                               Sweet Pongal


Ingredients
 
Rice             - 1 cup
Water           - 3 cups
Milk              - 1 cup
Jaggery        - 2 cups
Ghee            - 2 tbsp
Cashews      - 10 broken
Cloves          - 3 pieces

simple steps to prepare sweet pongal


1) Take 1 glass of rice in a bowl  and pour 3 glasses of water in it.

2) Boil the rice until 90% has cooked,

3) Now add 2 cups of jaggery paste into the rice and boil for 5 mins (make jaggery as paste by heating in a bowl)

4) Add 1 glass of milk to it boil for 5 mins,add 2 spoons of ghee to it.

5) Fry  the cashewnuts in ghee and add to the pongal.

6) Add the cloves powered to the pongal.

7) Mix well and serve hot.




Tips 

Use old rice and brown color jaggery for good looking of sweet pongal.
